First Class

1stclass1.jpgGetting a cheap online upgrade deal to fly first class on United: $119.

Volunteering to get bumped off an overbooked flight in exchange for a round trip domestic ticket: +$300-400.

Sitting in the terminal's bar, watching the flight I was supposed to get on sit on the taxiway for 2 hours only to come back in and empty of passengers: Worth every penny of the $20 tab.

Finally taking off on the re-booked flight, an hour later than scheduled, but just in time to see the fireworks from above, from a 1st class window seat unobstructed by a wing: Priceless.
