Cookie, the 72-year-old Major Mitchell's cockatoo who has been a resident at Brookfield Zoo since it opened in 1934. They're having a birthday party June 25th for him.

Alicia

I haven't been able to form the right words to express how saddened I am by the death of Alicia Frantz. She's being remebered by many friends and acquaintances in many local blogs, and I think it proves that we've lost someone special when so many speak up to say they've been touched by her life, and not just by her death.
