The dilemma

I read the Dec. 17 entry from lactose-incompetent and was immediately thrown into the dilemma I was in a few months ago. I must link to this, a piece this heart-wrenching must be read by others. But something so personal, so painful, is difficult to point to and say "look at this" without feeling like a highway accident gawker.

But then I scrolled down and read this disclaimer: "Lactose Incompetent is an admittedly fictionalized ongoing story based on an actual unfolding life." The sad story linked above may be true, but I feel slightly better knowing the writer has thought through what he's doing. I think his approach is a good solution to protecting what needs to be protected, expressing oneself, and telling a great story.
